About Xavier Francis
Founder and Managing Attorney at Francis Law, Xavier Francis is renowned for his expertise in employment-based visas. His journey in immigration law started at 17 when he migrated from Jamaica to the U.S. This formative experience has deeply influenced his personal values and professional approach.
Xavier pursued higher education at Fairfield University, majoring in International Studies and Political Science. His global perspective was notably enhanced by a year spent abroad in Brazil and China, where he began his studies in Portuguese and Mandarin. These experiences not only broadened his linguistic abilities but also deepened his appreciation for diverse cultures.
His legal journey took root at George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., where he cultivated a focused interest in immigration law, reflecting his own experiences as an immigrant. Xavier’s career began in earnest as a law clerk at an immigration law firm, and over eight years, he ascended through the ranks at three major law firms. During this time, he specialized in employment-based immigration, advising a wide array of clients including Fortune 500 companies, professional workers, startups, foreign investors, government agencies, and non-profit organizations on U.S. immigration law and regulatory compliance.
Driven by a desire to offer a more personalized approach often overlooked by larger firms, Xavier founded Francis Law. He observed a gap in the market for high-touch business immigration services, particularly for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), professional workers, and startups. Xavier’s approach is rooted in his understanding that immigration is transformative—a belief that shapes the firm’s ethos to focus on quality service that significantly influences and shapes clients’ futures.
Francis Law stands as a testament to Xavier’s belief in the importance of a personal touch and an understanding of each client’s unique situation in legal practice. His firsthand experience as an immigrant to the United States has equipped him with profound insights into the challenges of the immigration process. At Francis Law, clients find not only legal expertise but also a relatable advocate who understands the intricacies of the immigration journey firsthand.
