About Luisa Vargas

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Luisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Politécnico Grancolombiano in 2019 and later completed a postgraduate specialization in Forensic and Criminal Psychology at Fundación Universitaria Konrad Lorenz in 2022. Her academic and professional background has given her a unique perspective on client advocacy, allowing her to combine analytical thinking with empathy and effective communication.

Before focusing on employment-based immigration, Luisa worked with humanitarian immigration organizations assisting survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence in obtaining lawful immigration status in the United States. She strongly believes in advocating for victims and in the power of justice to restore dignity, protect vulnerable individuals, and create meaningful change. In Colombia, she also served within the justice system, conducting forensic psychological evaluations, interviewing victims of domestic and gender-based violence, preparing expert reports for judicial proceedings, participating in court as an expert witness, and collaborating with law enforcement and judicial authorities to support investigations, obtain protective measures, and help safeguard victims’ rights.

Since joining Francis Law in July 2025 as a full-time paralegal, Luisa has become a valued member of the firm’s employment-based immigration team. She is recognized for her responsiveness, dedication, and client-centered approach, providing high-touch, white-glove service to individuals, entrepreneurs, researchers, executives, and multinational companies navigating complex U.S. immigration matters.
